MONETA • AUREA • CIVITATIS • HAMBURGENS •, castle with three towers and half-raised portcullis in gateway, within ornate cartouche; I·H·L· below / CAROLVS • VI • D • G • ROM • IMP • SEMP • AVGVST, crowned and nimbate double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings spread, holding sword and sceptre and with orb on breast; date across lower fields.
