Anastasius I AV Solidus. Constantinople, AD 498-518. D N ANASTASIVS P P AVG, pearl-diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust facing slightly to right, holding spear over shoulder and shield decorated with horseman motif / VICTORIA AVGGG I, Victory standing facing, head to left, holding long staff surmounted by staurogram; star in left field, CONOB in exergue. MIBE 7; DOC 7j; Sear 5. 4.48g, 21mm, 6h.

NGC graded Ch MS 5/5 - 4/5, clipped (#6944544-001). Lustrous metal.
