Pegasos flying left with straight wings, koppa below / Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet, and with hair falling in loose curls behind, to left, trident (?), all within incuse square.

The remarkable charming expression of Athena's portrait, on this wonderful Stater of Corinth, and the nobility of her serene thoughtful look lead us to believe it was struck before 400 BC, and during the period of the Peloponnesian War.
