Description

SASANIAN KINGS. Khosrau II, 591-628. Fals (bronze, 7.42 g, 27 mm), imitating a Byzantine follis of Heraclius with Heraclius Constantine, Theoupolis (Antioch), struck during the Sasanian occupation of Syria 610-629. Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine standing facing, each crowned and holding cross-tipped scepter in right hand; above, cross; around, somewhat blundered legend. Rev. Large M between A/N/N/o and X/II; above, cross; below, Є; in exergue, COKN. Repatinated, nearly very fine.
