SELEUKID KINGS of SYRIA. Alexander I Balas, 152-145 BC. Ae Serrate (bronze, 4.94 g, 20 mm), unattributed North Syrian mint. Diademed head of Alexander I to right. Rev. BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated on high-backed throne left, holding eagle on outstretched right hand and sceptre in left. HGC 9, 909; SC 1818. Nearly very fine.
