g George IV (1820-30), gold Half Sovereign, 1824, first laureate head left, B.P. for Benedetto Pistrucci below neck, legend and toothed border surrounding, GEORGIUS IIII D: G: BRITANNIAR: REX F:D:, rev. second crowned quartered shield of arms, with a crowned escutcheon of the Arms of Hanover, emblems below, ANNO to left, 1824 to right, edge milled (Marsh 405 R2; Bull 992; S.3802). Toned with minimal circulation wear, graded by NGC as MS62+.

NGC Certification 2131518-001

Calendar year mintage of 591,538.

The Latin legends translates on obverse as "George the Fourth by the Grace of God, King of the Britons, Defender of the Faith," and on reverse as "in the year 1824."
