Description

Victoria (1837-1901), silver Crown, 1888, Jubilee bust left, J.E.B. on truncation for engraver Joseph Edgar Boehm, Latin legend and toothed border surrounding, VICTORIA D:G: BRITT: REG: F:D:, rev. St. George and the Dragon right, date in exergue, B.P to upper right of exergue for engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, edge milled (Bull 2587; ESC 298; S.3921). Bright surfaces with some toning around outer border though good residual lustre, graded by NGC as MS62.

NGC Certification 6383373-002

Calendar year mintage 131,899.

The Latin legend translates as “Victoria by the Grace of God, Queen of the Britons, Defender of the Faith.”
