1861 Liberty Head Double Eagle. AU-58 (NGC).

This is a lovely near-Mint 1861 double eagle from the S.S. Repub treasure. The luster is virtually complete, and both sides have a lovely frosty texture that mingles nicely with light rose-gold patina. Sharply struck overall, this will be a very nice coin for gold type collectors as well as shipwreck enthusiasts.
