Obverse: Laureate head of Philetairos right; Reverse: Athena seated left on throne, resting elbow upon shield to right and crowning dynastic name to left; transverse spear in background, grape bunch to outer left, A to inner left, bow to right. Though exhibiting some minor surface roughness, this powerful piece presents an otherwise toned appearance and a forceful Attalid portrait as is indicated by its 'fine style' designation.
