Obverse: Armored and draped bust facing slightly right, wearing ruffled collar; all within ornate frame, with head of cherub above and below; Reverse: Optimistic rendition of the victorious king, holding sword and shield, standing left atop defeated monsters; the heavens thunder with two lightning bolts striking down. Light gray surfaces, with some areas of light repair as noted in the fields. A great and engaging type marking the death of one Europe's preeminent monarchs of the era.
