Washingtoniana
1875 Magna Est Veritas Medal by Robert Laubenheimer. Musante GW-861, Baker-292B. Bronze. Plain edge. SP-63 (PCGS).
50.6 mm. 792.1 grains. Dark brown with a somewhat steely gray patina from an old cleaning or from some type of patination process intended to give this a different finish from the light mahogany bronze versions occasionally seen, as in the previous lot. Lightly reflective in the fields with some light hairlines and minor marks.
