Silver Certificates
Fr. 1700. 1933 $10 Silver Certificate. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
This note needs no introduction as virtually every dedicated small size collector aspires to eventually own one. The present example is near the top of the PMG Condition Census, with just seven others at this grade level and five finer. Both the face and the back are well printed and bright. This series differs from the far more common 1934 series notes with a Treasury seal at left and the absence of a blue 10 counter. Also the wording "PAYABLE IN SILVER COIN TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND" as seen on this note was reworded to "IN SILVER PAYABLE TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND" for the later issues. Certainly a trophy note and worthy of entering even the finest of collections.
