1926-S Oregon Trail Memorial. MS-68 (NGC).

A towering example of this popular S-Mint first year of issue for the Oregon Trail Memorial type. This piece has pristine surfaces that are aglow with mint luster, and toning that is a veritable work of art. A beautiful array of colors frame the borders of each side including blue, magenta, jade green, and gold. The toning forms distinct concentric bands on the obverse, more variegated on the reverse. Stunning in both cases. At the centers, the obverse displays light golden toning and the reverse is more of a rose-gray. There are next to no marks or flaws, as to be expected at the Ultra Gem level. A wonderful piece.
