William Hazen Rogers (1801-1873) and George W. Smith were silversmiths in partnership from 1856 to 1862, located in Hartford, CT. Rogers was a silversmith, watchmaker and plater involved in several partnerships including CHURCH & ROGERS with Joseph Church from 1825 to 1836 and ROGERS & MEAD with John O. Mead in 1845-46. He also worked with his brothers Simeon and Asa as ROGERS BROS. from 1847 to 1853 and his son as WILLIAM ROGERS & SON. In 1870 he is listed as a jeweler on the census taken at Hartford. Unfortunately little is known about George Smith, but this example is from their six year partnership and unlisted in Brunk.
