Counterstamps

F.G. REAM on an 1854 Braided Hair large cent. Brunk R-117, Rulau-Unlisted. Host coin Good.

Franklin G. Ream (1836-1893) worked as a blacksmith in Lebanon Co., PA from about 1860 to the 1880s. Brunk gives no information on the issuer and lists only one example known on an 1817 half dollar, making this a new example.
