Hartill-22.809; FD-2540. Weight: 47.6 gms. Er bao, curved gung. "Xian Feng yuan bao"; Reverse: "Dang bai". This wholly original looking representative of the type exhibits rich mottled brassy patina with areas of brown and red and minor earthen deposits. The well-formed high relief calligraphy is bold and easily read in contrast to the mostly intact rough surfaces, with a couple areas of the light tasteful smoothing. This pleasing example is sure to be a welcome addition to the next collection it enters offering a pleasing appearance for this large size cast issue.
