CHINA. Yunnan. Tael, ND (1943-44). PCGS MS-62 Gold Shield.

L&M-435; K-939; KM-A3; WS-0704; Lec-325. Variety with small stag's head. Struck for use in the French Indo-China opium trade. This nicely preserved and lustrous example exhibits a somewhat shallow strike as is commonly encountered on this type with plenty of original mint bloom and a hint of tone.
