Pleasing olive-honey and pale rose surfaces are lustrous for the grade with impressively sharp to full definition throughout. The 1844-O is one of the more plentiful half eagles from the still early days at the New Orleans Mint, but high quality survivors like this always find many buyers when they are offered.
