Description
1878 Trade Dollar. Proof-66 (NGC).
Moderately toned over fully impressed surfaces, this otherwise reflective specimen exhibits a delicate satin texture to the devices that provides modest cameo contrast at isolated viewing angles. A pleasant mix of blue-green evenly covers the obverse, the reverse features shadings of iridescent blue and sunset-red. The 1878 trade dollar has a mintage of 900 pieces.
