Description
1857-C Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter-1, the only known dies. EF Details--Mount Removed (PCGS).
Although the 1857-C is widely regarded as one of the more readily obtainable Charlotte Mint half eagles, it is still scarce in the finer circulated grades. This more affordable, yet still overall boldly defined example is sure to find many eager buyers in today's highly competitive market for Southern gold coinage.
