HGC-4, 1597; Kroll-8; SNG Cop-31. Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square. This choice example of the popular type is exceptionally well struck, far beyond the norm, with only faint hints of wear on the broad flan. A light tone covers this issue, with hints of luster that peek through.
