HGC-1, 753; Vlasto-129 (same dies); HN Italy-827; Fischer-Bossert-32 (V13/R25). Obverse: Taras, holding cuttlefish and extending hand, riding dolphin right; Reverse: Hippocamp right; cockle shell below. An attractive example of an early Tarentum piece, this specimen is well struck and nicely centered. A bit of a die shift is noted on the obverse, and a nice even pattern of wear across the devices.
