Obverse: "REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA" Mountain with sun behind, llama and bundle of arrows in foreground, stars below; Reverse: Bird perched atop birdhouse, legend around "LA PATRIA A SUS HIJOS VIRTUOSOS". This VERY RARE beautiful uncirculated medal was likely an educational award given out for academic achievement. Very little evidence of handling indicates that it was likely well loved and treasured by the original recipient. An great type that is uncommonly seen, with this being the first example we can recall handling.
