1889 Brooklyn Bridge Medal, with Sun. Musante GW-1087A, Douglas-7. Bronze. MS-65 BN (NGC).
51 mm. Warm rose-brown patina blankets both sides of this smooth and lustrous Gem. Surfaces are exceptionally well preserved with just the barest trace of cabinet friction to isolated high points. While we have handled several white metal impressions from these dies in recent years, bronze examples are far more elusive and rated as "VS" (Very Scarce) in Musante's Medallic Washington. A fleeting bidding opportunity for the advanced specialist.
