A search of the Kelly Census and Track & Price for an Original Series $10 from the Merchants National Bank of New Bedford, Mass. comes up blank, leading us to believe that this note may be somewhat elusive. Appearing better than many Original Series notes, this VF 20 retains a good red overprint, sharp pen signatures, even wear and pleasing off-white paper. No damage, restoration or other issues were noted by PMG. As the only Original Series $10 from this bank to appear thus far, we expect considerable interest in this lot.
