Saratoga Springs, New York. 1875 $5 Fr. 405. The First NB. Charter #893. PMG Fine 12.

Although some 64 notes from the FNB of Saratoga Springs NY are shown on the Census, there is only one from the Series of 1875, that being this $5 note offered here. In fact, this appears to be one of only two Large Size $5s from this bank of any type so far located. While certainly well-used, the red overprint remains bold the margins are full and complete and the signatures remain fairly clear.
