Description

Fr. 1935-D. 1976 $2 Federal Reserve Note. Cleveland. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. Doubled Print Error.
A neat doubled third print error, which gives a 3-D effect to the note. Interestingly, the doubled print is from a completely different note! The first set of serial numbers is "D22822649" and the second set is "D22822653A" which sits just on top of the original serial number. The seals are doubled, along with the four "4"'s of the district letters. The technical aspect of the note is outstanding; the margins are wide, the paper is bright and the ink dark. $2 errors are scarce in their own right, but we have not encountered this error type in recent memory. This note is sure to be fought over by error collectors, so expect a hard fought battle to take this neat piece home.
Estimate: $15000.00- $25000.00
