GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1705 Year QVINTO. London Mint. Anne. PCGS EF-45.
S-3577; KM-519.2; ESC-1341 (R2). The SCARCEST of all the Anne Crowns, this pre-Union issue offers some splendidly strong toning that intensifies nearest the peripheries. Much underlying brilliance emanates from the surfaces under the toning, striking the eye with a gleam and glint of light. Minor wear is observed on the obverse portrait of Anne, though no general effacement has occurred. By far, the finest example of this date certified by PCGS, with the next closest being a VF-25. A pleasing example that is offered for the first time on the market since 1950.
