GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1688 Year QVARTO. London Mint. James II. PCGS AU-58.
S-3407; KM-463; ESC-743. The final Crown issue of James II, as he was to be deposed in the Glorious Revolution later in 1688, ending Catholic rule in England. This handsome specimen displays an incredible coating of attractive mint luster and some alluringly colorful toning. Very little evidence of wear is seen on the surface, making this Crown a premium for the grade assigned, as it has the eye appeal and charm of a Mint State example.
