GERMANY. Weimar Republic. Group of Coin Postcards (6 Pieces), ND (ca. 1930s). Grade Range: AVERAGE to EXCELLENT Condition.
An interesting set of postcards for those intrigued by unique numismatic items. This set contains postcards featuring circulating coinage from Germany, Russia, Norway, Japan, Great Britain, and Austria. Though undated, these probably originate from the Weimar period of Germany given that several cards have coins from later than World War One. A somewhat underhanded political statement is made by the German and Austrian postcards giving coinage from the pre-war Imperial empires, rather than the later Republics likely indicating that whoever produced these may have bought into the stab in the back myth. Each card has an exchange rate of the currency featured on the card compared with other major world currencies. An intriguing group that is not often encountered.
