Description

Lot of (4) World War I Era Marine Corps Banana Wars Items.

Four items awarded to Private Stanley Melnick. Includes his World War I Victory medal, unnamed, Barac-47, and his Marine Corps First Haitian Campaign Service medal, numbered 2304 on the edge with the original pin-back brooch lost and replaced with a generic one. Also two marksmanship awards: 1919 Marine Corps Divisional sharpshooter's badge engraved with his name and his score in the competition (599), as well as an unnamed generic EXPERT RIFLEMAN silver badge depicting period rifles. Both the Haitian Campaign badge and the divisional shooting award have some sort of glue on their reverses, otherwise generally Extremely Fine. This is a must see, sold as is, no return lot .
