This handsome example boasts a better strike than normally encountered from this series with crisp design features, save for a slight weakness on the Phrygian cap, displaying rich slate patina with a slight iridescent sheen in the peripheries. Close inspection reveals evidence of a past cleaning on both sides, along with numerous pin scratches between each of the rays, accounting for the details designation. Despite its shortcomings an attractive and presentable example of the type that is pleasing to the eye.
