KM-Unlisted; Gomes-Jo.28.04; Azevedo-pg. 28. Issued by decree of 20 August 1765 under Governor Baltazar Manoel Pereira do Lago. Countermark: Ligate MR incuse. Applied to the obverse of a 1746-Mo MF Mexico Pillar 8 Reales of Philip V (KM-103). The countermark is boldly applied and clear on a nicely preserved host displaying rich mottled gray patina. A handsome example of the type offering plenty of remaining details, a pleasing appearance and much originality.
