SWEDEN. 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Nobel Prize Gilt Bronze Medal, 1965. Eskilstuna (Royal Swedish) Mint. NGC MS-64.
By: Erik Lindberg. Obverse: Bust of Nobel Left; Reverse: Young man seated under a laurel tree, listening to the muse, writing down the chords. A wonderful medal honoring the anniversary of the founding of the Nobel Prize from Alfred Nobel's will that was signed in 1895, this gaudy medal is the same size and bears the design of the awarded prizes for literature. Fully struck and delivering impressive details, the beauty of the medal is unimpinged by marking or ugly faults. A wonderful addition to the collection of any collector of Nobel medals.
