ITALY. Bruttium. The Brettii. AR Drachm, ca. 216-214 B.C. NGC EF. Light Smoothing.
HGC-1, 1356; HN Italy-1958; SNG Cop-1617. Obverse: Diademed and draped bust of winged Nike right; Reverse: River god standing facing, crowning himself with wreath and holding scepter; hound to right. A bright and sharply detailed Drachm. While the fields show signs of smoothing, the devices are pleasingly original and gently handled.
