PARTHIA. Vologases IV, A.D. 147-191. BI Tetradrachm, Seleukeia on the Tigris Mint, Dated SE 464 (A.D. 152/3). NGC Ch VF.
Sellwood-84.13. Obverse: Bust left, wearing tiara; B to right; Reverse: Vologases seated left, receiving wreath from Tyche standing right; year above; month in exergue. A wonderful example of this later Parthian type, struck with relatively high quality silver for the issue. The portrait is well-centered and bold, and the reverse displays a fully readable mintage date and month. The surfaces exhibit light mauve toning with some original luster.
