1739 Admiral Vernon Medal. Porto Bello with Vernon's Portrait and Icons. Adams-Chao PBvi 5-E, M-G 96. Rarity-5. Copper. MS-64 (NGC).
40 mm. A bright brassy-gold example with pretty apricot and pink highlights. Satiny surfaces are impressively smooth overall and uncommonly lustrous for the type. Really an outstanding piece, this smartly impressed and sharply defined near-Gem is worthy of the strongest bids.
