Description
1863 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-64 Cameo (PCGS). CAC.
Warmly toned in olive-copper and pale apricot patina, the obverse contrasts with a reverse that is brilliant apart from the lightest golden iridescence. Fully struck throughout with a nicely cameoed finish appreciable at all viewing angles. From a Proof mintage of only 460 pieces achieved during the depths of the Civil War, this Choice Proof will be a fine addition to any advanced collection that specializes in high quality Proof Liberty Seated coinage.
