1832 Capped Bust Half Dime. LM-4. Rarity-4. MS-66+ (PCGS). CAC.
A glorious example of this type, this beautiful premium Gem is of further significance given the scarcity of the 1832 LM-4 attribution. Blended toning in golden-olive, salmon-pink and steel-gray blankets both sides and speaks volumes about the coin's originality. Highly lustrous and well struck, even the most discerning numismatist will find much to admire here. Early to middle die state with the upper loop of the second letter S in STATES is filled and the beginning of a retained cud break at the top of Liberty's cap is noted.
PCGS# 4279. NGC ID: 232E.
PCGS Population (all die marriages of the issue): 4; 18 finer (MS-68+ finest).
