1881 United States Assay Commission Medal. By George T. Morgan and William Barber. JK AC-24a. Rarity-5. Copper. Proof-64 (NGC).
33.5 mm. 20.2 grams. A splendid Choice example with semi-reflective fields supporting satiny, fully impressed design elements. Subtle apricot undertones backlight dominant mahogany-brown patina, the reverse also with intermingled olive highlights.
