1795 Liberty Cap Half Cent. C-2a. Rarity-3. Lettered Edge, Punctuated Date. VF-20 (PCGS). OGH.
This pleasing mid grade half cent exhibits dominant golden-brown patina with outlines of rich steely-copper color to most design elements. Faint hairlines and scattered surface marks are consistent with the grade, the central reverse with a few shallow planchet voids (as made). Manley Die State 3.0. The Punctuated Date Guide Book variety is not noted on the old style PCGS insert, which uses coin #1009 for the Lettered Edge variety.
