Massachusetts--Springfield. 1864 John Adams Bolen. Fuld-760A-10a, Musante JAB-12. Rarity-7. Copper. Plain Edge. MS-64 RB (NGC).
28 mm. Mostly golden-tan surfaces are accented by blended blue and violet. Flashes of faded mint red can be seen on both the obverse and reverse. The plate token for both the obverse and reverse dies, 90085 and 90080 respectively, in the third edition of the Fuld reference on Civil War store cards. An excellent opportunity to acquire a Bolen self-portrait token, a plate token in high grade, and rare (but not impossibly so).
