CC-90. Continental Currency. January 14, 1779. $4. PCGS Banknote Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 PPQ.
No. 69584. Signed by D. Wister and R. Caither. Printed by Hall and Sellers, 1779. The final issue of Continental Currency authorized in a series of Resolutions passed in 1779 employed two-color printing, using a reddish-orange colored ink in the left border and in a geometric shape over the center of the emblem. While there have been several 66's graded, there is only one 67 quality note graded between the two services, this being it. A vibrantly-colored diamond shape overlays the boar and spear emblem, sharp and fresh signatures appear nearly new, and four evenly-balanced margins frame the design on the front. Unquestionably the finest CC-90 available. PCGS Banknote Pop 1/None Finer.
From the Mid-Continent Collection.
