Description

Fr. 2201-A. 1934 Dark Green Seal $500 Federal Reserve Note. Boston. PCGS Banknote Superb Gem Uncirculated 68 PPQ.
The high-denomination small-size FRN's have long been among the most popular series with collectors, and this opportunity to acquire one of the finest $500 notes available should not be ignored. According to the T&P census, a Superb Gem 68 Boston $500 FRN has not been offered in over ten years, and who knows when the next one will be? While PMG has graded three 67 EPQ's, they have yet to grade a 68. This note is one of three PCGS Currency has graded in the past, and now is offered in a PCGS Banknote holder. As befitting the grade, there is little to comment on here, as all facets of this note are exemplary and as fine as seen. As an aside, we should also note that PMG has graded only one small-size $500 FRN from any series or district in 68 EPQ, that being a 1928 St. Louis issue. PCGS Banknote Pop 2/None Finer.
From the Mid-Continent Collection.

Estimate: $30000.00- $50000.00
