GREAT BRITAIN. "Gothic" Crown, 1847 Year UNDECIMO. London Mint. Victoria. NGC Proof Details--Obverse Tooled.
S-3883; KM-744; ESC-2571. Mintage: 8,000. An ever-popular and eminently collected type, this "Gothic" style Crown offers majestic beauty and resounding artistry. The noted tooling emanates from some minor edge damage. Some scattered hairlines in the fields are also noted, but the example otherwise remains essentially without handling, with a pleasing dark tone augmenting its appeal that much more.
