You will see when examining this section of today's auction, that you can assemble a set of $1, $5, $10, $20 and $50 denominations, all with solid serial #55555555. This is not an easy task to do, and we are so pleased to give you this opportunity today. This specific note comes from the 1950E series, which is a real find. Only eight total solid serial numbers were printed for the 1950E series in this denomination. This specific note was last sold by Lyn Knight on 3-8-2014 as lot 47 at $1150 in its existing holder. Nine years later we think it deserves a bid of twice that amount.
