Description

Fr. 1133-L. 1918 $1000 Federal Reserve Note. San Francisco. PMG Extremely Fine 40.
An Extremely Fine offering of this coveted large size $1000 from the San Francisco district. These notes are typically offered in the Very Fine grade level, so this Extremely Fine example is sure to attract attention. The primary design retains dark black ink which highlights the intricate lathe work by the engraver. Depicted at center is Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, who served as the first Secretary of the Treasury from 1789 to 1795 during George Washington's presidency. On the back of the note is a Bald Eagle clutching arrows and our countries flag. High denomination notes have been incredibly popular as of late, and large size notes are in a league of their own. If you are looking to complete your type set, bid accordingly as this note is sure to command a premium. PMG comments "Stains Lightened".

Estimate: $25000.00- $35000.00
