The Monetary Conversion of March 20, 1912, created the Cordoba as the new monetary unit of Nicaragua, in replacement of the old peso. That Monetary Conversion considered the creation of a national bank: National Bank of Nicaragua, Inc. or Banco Nacional de Nicaragua Incorporado. Engraver was Hamilton Bank Note, Engraving & Printing Co. of New York. Bank notes started circulation in March 1913.
