1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 64-t, W-5380. Rarity-1. Large Planchet, Trident Shield. EF-40 (PCGS).
130.7 grains. Glossy medium olive brown with ideal centering on a broad planchet. Mostly smooth, though showing the usual planchet texture at the soft centers of both sides. Early die state, Die State 1 on the obverse and Die State 2 on the reverse, with a thin crack from the lower right of the shield. A handsome example of the variety, problem free and prettier than most.
