SWEDEN. Nobel Nominating Committee for Physics or Chemistry Gold Medal, 1943. Royal Swedish (Eskilstuna) Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-62.
Ehrensvard-21; Lagerqvist-1A/2A. By E. Lindberg. Diameter: 27mm. Obverse: Bust of Nobel left; Reverse: REG ACAD SCIENT SVEC ( Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences), crowned and winged Swedish coat-of-arms; radiant North Star above. Sporting light matte surfaces and retaining a great deal of shimmering brilliance, this nearly-Choice example stands as an excellent early example of the type in gold.
